Just finished watching Kalief Browder. I really don’t know what to say. Shocked, unbelievable,sad all spring to mind. I can’t actually believe that could happen in this day and age. So very sad.

Today, the law in Mexico sets 18 as the legal minimum age to marry; however, with parental consent, it allows boys to marry at 16 & girls at 14. Looks like 25% of girls in Mexico these days marry before the age of 18.

Some US states today allow children to marry; some as young as 14 with parental/judicial consent; 1 New England state only raised their minimum age from 12 as from Jan 2019; 17 US states have no legal minimum age!

In Indiana, my friend’s grandmother married at 14. When my friend visited them in the late 70s/ early 80s, that legal age hadn’t changed
