Mouse-Keeping?

We left $1pp per day at POR in ‘17 in an envelope that said mousekeeping & left it on the table, they never once took it though which made no rea sense to me 😞

Is opting out definitely not available for deluxe? I’d much prefer to opt out if it’s poss.

Probably little or no English and couldn't understand the word 'Mousekeeping'

No opt out for Deluxe.

We opted out at CSR, it wasn't offered until I mentioned it at check in but was straightforward, $70 + no tips, for pulling a quilt up 7 times seems a good deal to me.

The only slight issue was when I pressed the housekeeping key on the phone it rang through to guest services who "reached out" to housekeeping for us. They didn't seem to understand we wanted some more of the little bottles of Aloh Vera and mouthwash but 3rd time lucky and they brought us a big bag of it and enough coffee pots to last a month. They were there within 10 mins of calling.

We would still leave $2 a day & no opt out, they work pretty hard & anyway it's my holiday so I will definitely not be doing any of my own housekeeping!
I would also be the first to complain if it wasn't as 'clean' as I would expect it to be'

Thanks, everyone - I think I will budget to leave a daily amount for mouse-keeping but as with all things tip related I would tip handsomely for excellent service but not so generously if service is not as expected

Last time I was on site, We tipped $2-3 per day (2 of us) , the service wasn't great they cut corners and didn't do a great job so we put it down to what we were tipping and for a couple of days started to leave $5 and amazingly the service went down! the bin was left un emptied and dirty rag left in the sink, this time I will think twice in what I tip

They might not have been English speaking. If that was the case they wouldn't have known what it meant.
