Mineral make up

Help!

I think I have a really good skin care routine. I use dermalogica products, in the morning pre cleanse, cleanse, tone, moisturise and skin hydrating booster. Evening cleanse, daily microfoliant, tone and super rich repair(heavy moisturiser).

Despite all this no matter what I do whenever I wear make up (three days a week I’m in the office and nights out) by the end of the day my chin is covered in white heads. I’m 42!

I wear bare minerals make up but understand this is not really a mineral make up as it contains talc. I also use their primer and understand the silicone might be an issue.

Anyone else have this problem? What would you recommend?

I use Lily Lolo mineral foundation which doesn't cause me to break out. I have a completely different skin routine to you as I have blemish prone skin so use Glycolic acid toner and La Roche Posay Effaclar duo moisturiser which tends to keep most of the blemishes at bay (I am 27 and have suffered with bad skin since I was 11 )

It might be your primer rather than your make up. Have you tried a day without your primer to see if you still break out?

Thanks it’s so frustrating isn’t it. When I was on the pill my skin was as lovely but since I can off it it’s like being a teenager again.

From some of the reading I’ve done I did wonder this. Never worn make up without primer but will give it a go.

I personally never wear primer but I think it’s worth giving it a go because if you don’t break out you know at least it’s your primer and you could try a different one or not one at all if you didn’t necessarily need it!
