Mobile Sjcam experts your help needed

Hi I was considering getting the GoPro session 5 hero that is on offer at Argos but I notice you won’t know what your filming unless you look at the app on your phone which won’t be any use at waterparks as you might not be filming what you want. I have been reading about the sjcams but when looking on amazon I’m a bit overwhelmed with the choice. We want one to film Disney and waterparks. We don’t want to pay a fortune just something that is decent. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks x

I’d go with GoPro. I’ve had an SJ Cam and other faux pro, the real ones are the best as you don’t need a waterproof case. This one is a steal. argos/product/59940...referrer=COJUN

If you 100% need a screen, then the GoPro sessions won't be any good for you, as your right you need to connect to them via WiFi from your phone/tablet.

For action cameras with screen options I've got a couple of different ones for you.

The SJCam J6 Legend amazon/dp/B074Z64N..._detai l_page this camera produces good video, but is something of a cross between a GoPro Hero 4 Black and a GoPro Hero 5, in that it can do 4K at 24fps, but still needs a waterproof case like the 4 Black , however it does have gyro image stabilisation like the Hero 5

The other option to consider is the GoPro Hero amazon/GoPro-HERO-...s=gopro+hero+5 doesn't do 4K but is in its own right fully waterproof so no need for an external case, does 1080p at 60fps, has gyro stabilisation, has access to a wider range of accessories than the SJCam's as GoPro's are better supported by 3rd Parties

For me I had an SJCam 4000, but now use a GoPro Hero 4 Silver (hoping to upgrade to a 6 before October), while the SJCam's video is very good out of the camera the data rates aren't as high as those from the GoPro's so when coming to editing you do loose some of the details - its not a game changer but having gone cheap I'd stick with the original's myself

Thanks everyone for your replies, we have just bought a sj4000 from someone selling with everything for £30. So we will have a go with that on holiday. It will probably be good enough for what we are going to do with it. I appreciate your input.
