Half Board Plus Dining Plan

Hi,
I have read somewhere that you can use your vouchers at other restaurants not listed on the Disney dining plan. Is this still the case, could I use my vouchers to dine at one of the higher end restaurants and pay the difference?

Thanks for your help

You can use your vouchers as "cash" towards a higher category restaurant.

For example the Inventions character buffet is a premium level and costs around €65 per adult. If you were on the standard dining plan your voucher would be worth €28 in cash and then you pay the rest yourself.

It is only at Disney-owned restaurants - so not places like Rainforest Cafe or Planet Hollywood.

Do you know how much the Half Board plus vouchers are worth, are they worth the same as the standard ones?

Thanks for your help.

Bear in mind that if you have Plus dining, that covers the majority of the restaurants in DLP. There are only a few at Premium level - off the top of my head, California Grill, Walt's, Auberge de Cendrillon, Inventions and I think Cafe Mickey now? Oh, and Buffalo Bill's, but there are often deals on tickets for that if you do the later show.

Premium restaurants are great if you want luxury, but you can have excellent meals at Plus level.

Thanks Gill. Will more likely stick to the plus level for most of our trip... might just push the boat out for one of our meals
