I'd thoroughly agree with checking your options first for other potential discounts. Also, be aware that if you have to cancel the booking for any reason, the Clubcard vouchers element are not refunded; only any actual cash payment as part of the booking. As my Clubcard vouchers essentially covered the full room amount, that was the best deal for me (and hopefully there will be no need to cancel...).

We always use our club card vouchers for hotels.com bookings. Great use of points.

I did a dummy run for RPR in August and it came out over £200 more expensive for two nights using clubcard points than booking direct. I did use my Clubcard points for the Bloc hotel at Gatwick, though, so not so disappointing 😊

So my plan was to do this for our August 2020 holiday, for 2 x nights at Hard Rock hotel. I currently have enough points for 1 night, so I'll keep spending until we build up a bit more for almost 2 nights.

HOWEVER... having a look on the clubcard site, and clicking the hotels.com coupon exclusion list, the following are listed as excluded from the voucher offer:

Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Resorts
Universal's Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

Can anyone shed any light? I'd hate to go mad saving my clubcard points for HRH but unable to then book as it's excluded. Thanks.

It states within the Clubcard "What you need to know" section that "the hotel exclusion list found in Hotels.com terms and conditions do not apply to you." My HRH booking via this deal is for June 2020 and I had no problems with hotels.com accepting the Clubcard code. Be sure to read through all the info on the Clubcard site and you shouldn't have an issue.

Remember it doesn't cover the taxes so do a dummy booking via the Tesco link and it will give you a break down at checkout. Then clear your cookies before going through again in case those pesky preferences increase the price!
