Ours is around £500 for DH who is 33 no claims no points. The premiums shot up around 25% when we moved from the South West to South East
Ours does seem too high compared to what the rest of you are paying, but I used to work in car insurance so am fairly savvy with it, I've done everything possible to drive it down and no dice. |

I would say yours is average. Do you not suspect that those dibbers with high premiums are not coming on to admit to it ( accidents/ endorsements) so it makes it look as if every one else’s premiums are lower. Mine is around £400 -bog standard Peugeot 308, both over 50, no points, 1 non fault claim but unfortunately live in a cash for crash area.

Cor, look at all the information people are voluntarily sharing on an open internet forum for anyone to see. Car insurance companies should hang out here.
Anyhoo... Mine's £180 a year for a 48yo driving a 5 year old Skoda Citigo (I don't need anything larger). Wife is on it too. That's also with the excess as low as possible (£50, I think).

None of us are quoting our annual mileage which will make a difference. Black boxes, dash cams, extra drivers... all these things make a difference.
Certainly I saved £80 by removing my dad but keeping my mum on as a named driver, and from moving house, the post code change saved me about £60. |

40 and Ive just paid £210 with Tesco for my 2012 Peugeot 308. They were actually the cheapest on the compare site and there was a small discount for being a clubcard holder. As long as I've got legal cover and protected no claims Im happy.
