If I've got my driving licence with me it takes about 10 minutes to complete the OLCI form and press "print" Literally as late as you dare before losing access to a printer.

Hi, we've done skip the counter but have to pick up sat nav, so do we still need to queue at the counter anyway? We haven't been for about 6 years, do you need the toll pass gadget?

Sorry but we never use satnav so can't help on that - maybe if you start a new thread in the car forum someone may spot it.

No such thing as a "toll pass gadget". Some Avis cars have a built in transponder which has absolutely no effect in Florida as all toll charges are by plate.

Alamo have the best Sunpass scheme and it's all described here.

sunpass/en/tolls/rentalVehicles.shtml

You have to do nothing at all - just drive through any toll plaza.

They are currently trialling a Visitor Toll Pass scheme in MCO but I guess you haven't signed up for that as the collection instructions are very clear. It ends this coming June/July

No queuing at the counter required. Just before you exit the garage, at the barrier with your car, you hand over your paperwork etc. to be checked. The person in the booth gives you your sat nav. Then they lift the barrier and off you go

Loved doing this online check in it made the transition from the airport to picking up the car so quick.

"Please note that if you have pre-paid or have billed via a 3rd party (does not include Alamo Brits) you cannot complete Skip the Counter. This also applies if you have included any add-ons when you originally made the booking such as fuel etc. **There is now a workaround for this contained within the comments.**"

THere are over 150 pages of comments...

Hi fv - unless it's ceased since last October you can StC when buying via a 3rd party if you have the Alamo booking reference, here are easy instructions how to do so:

Sign into Alamo with your booking ref and minimise the page, do not close the Alamo page or this won't work. Click THIS LINK, it should open partly completed. Add your credit card/any add-ons you want and it's done.

Many don't bother with Skip but my sister in law (only uses Andy, DFCH) has me OLCI/Skip simply because I'm faster. She finds by completing Skip she avoids attempts to sell her upgrades et al.

Booked through Alamo Brits (sorry but DFCH was too expensive for only adding 1 additional driver) and OLCI went through no problem but sadly can't do Skip the Counter due to length of rental as it is over 30 days. Really annoying but can't be helped - unless anyone knows of a workaround...…...

Hi
Never done a rental for more than 30 days as I like to change vehicles mid way so this might not be relevant.
It appears that the new Alamo OLCI does not have a separate step to complete STC. The confirmation email has at bottom of the Rental Policies Alamo Wayfinding which is the new STC,/by-pass the counter.
