Use year?

We are flying out on 30th Dec2018 but I'm not sure if we will use our Disney tickets for the first time on 31st or the 1st so I'm unsure weather to buy 2018 or 2019 tickets.
2018 tickets are cheaper but what if we don't use them on the first day? Has anyone else had this problem?

If you get 2018 tickets you will have to activate on 31st. If in any doubt, I would opt for 2019 tkts to be safe ( better than having invalid tkts).

if you buy the 2018 tickets and for any reason can't make it to a park on the 31st ... there go your tickets down the drain ... you won't be allowed to activate them on the 1st of jan.

I think I would decide to get 2019 and inquire with the park to see if you can still use them on the 31st

sure 2018s are a bit cheaper, but it's quite expensive if you can't use them ...
