We have stayed at the Signature a few times and loved it ,back in Vegas soon but prices have hiked up on the strip. We have booked the Platinum hotel this time which is 1 block from the strip suites with balconies and views of the strip.

That was for a 2 bedroom flat with separate full kitchen, dining area and sitting room, balcony not very big. Free laundry each floor, 2 pools roof over looking strip. Free towels at pool, free barbecue to use at pool area which are spotless and clean after use by staff. Doesn't have casino, has Starbucks.
IT was amazing.
Free parking.
We also stayed at the Polo Towers last year and paid around £95/night for a one bed unit. As noted above, great size accommodation with a sofa bed in the lounge (which DD had). Only a minutes stroll to the strip.

As others have said Signature is all-but on the Strip, there's an undercover walkway straight into MGM, which is on the Strip.
We had a massive room and it came with free parking.

If it’s your First trip you need to stay on strip (sig fine) you don’t want to drive/Uber/cab just to get where you know you want to be

We stayed in the MGM signature tower 1 with our two boys- loved it. We booked airbnb and the owner didn’t charge for the kids and there was no resort fee to pay. Kids loved chosing which pool to go to (get access to mgm pool) and loved our meal in the rainforest cafe in the mgm

I’ve also stayed in ‘The Orleans’ which is off strip but close and has a free shuttle every 15 mins or so and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again either depending on budget.

I’ve taken my kids to Vegas a lot and will take the new grandchild in March

I wouldn’t say any strip Vegas hotels are any more children friendly than other , none have kids facilities as such but kids are welcome in them all , my kids like tropicana , Nyny and planet Hollywood on the strip

More often we stop at South point though , it’s just off the main strip but has plenty for kids like a arcade , bowling alley , cinema, kids pool , takes us 10 mins to the main strip by car.

OP, what are your dates? July is off peak so prices will be decent on the strip, especially if your 3 nights are Sun-Thursday.
All of the strip hotels are as child friendly as each other. You can walk through the casinos, just follow the different colour carpet and don't loiter. With kids a good pool area would be a must. I've stayed at most of the big hotels on the strip. Obviously the 5 star posh ones are very nice (Wynn, Venetian, Bellagio, Aria, Cosmo), but the 4 star old schools are great too (MGM, NYNY, Mirage, PH, Paris).
