Shuttle vs Taxi to Anaheim from LAX?

Hello,

I'd be interested to know if anyone who has travelled from LAX to Anaheim would recommend either using a taxi or booking a shuttle in advance?

Is one way cheaper than the other? And is one way more convenient and/or less stress inducing than the other.

I only ask because by the time myself and my sister get out of LAX it'll be around 3am UK time and we'll probably resemble a pair of walking zombies

We have a hire car

But I would say a shuttle will be far cheaper . A shuttle will be a fixed prices where as a taxi will soon rack up the $$$ as it’s a fair distance and heavy traffic

We had a shuttle from LAX to grand Californian hotel, Disney and it was awful. I booked it as part of a package and the company were dreadful; no communication waited well over an hour and then it went all round the houses to drop everyone else off and us last. I guess that’s the downside, it was reasonably priced though! I think I would book a private transfer next time and pay the extra, after 12 hours in a plane we didn’t want all that waiting around tbh

We used super shuttle (I think) from lax to Huntington beach, which worked out fine, and Uber back from Disneyland to lax.

We used super shuttle I booked in advance but they had an app which you could track the van where it was and how long you were going to wait for it

First time we went we used a shuttle with supershuttle. It was ok but there was lots of waiting around and doubled the journey time with all the drop offs/pick ups. Next time we went we used uber. Much better, quicker, direct private journey and same price as a shared shuttle but half the price of a taxi.

Hi - can you recall the cost and time of day? Did you have to wait long once you had requested it? Thank you

Hi

Just checked on my uber app, July 2016,pick up 12:34pm (so bang in the middle of the day), it cost $43.94 and that includes $4 airport surcharge. It doesn't state the journey time but I can remember it was a lot quicker than the shuttle.

We use uber all the time in USA,it's very popular and we've never waited longer than 10 mins

Thank you for taking the time to look that up, the information is really helpful. We were leaning towards uber but your info has confirmed what we were thinking. Thank you 😁
