All outdoor pools will shut end of October the only indoor pool I know of on the strip is Tropicana and you have to be a guest. Remeber it could be very cold particularly st night in December. I have been in December where its shirt and shorts and also when the airport has been closed because of snow it will get cold in the evenings and very quickly.

I have shot at the gun store and I think outside near the hoover dam at something called shooting safaris. It may be cheaper if you can get on a local range there is one I think on paradise but to be honest shooting is not cheap they will allow you (or at least used to ) share guns at the gun store we each chose a handgun and swapped, they wont allow this on the machine guns.

I am sorry but eating for $10 is daft you will end up eating cheap crap that you can eat at home Mcdondlas, KFC, Subway, Burger King sure do it for a few meals but not every one you will just end up feeling ill. In the strip there is Dennys and ihop marginally better.

Where are you staying ? We often do a breakfast buffet or similar snack at lunch and main meal in the evening, sometimes snack breakfast big lunch and light dinner. The peppermill offers great value Vegas kitchen and you can split mains but not at $10, Ellis island offers a steak special that you have to ask for.
Yes Im reading lots of content that says south rim, I will have to compare the price and time for each trip I suppose.

Happily we are staying at the Tropicana, so will definitely be looking into the indoor pool! Thanks!

I suppose with the shooting the primary question is, along with other activities, will the price quoted online be discounted with leaflets / special offers in person when we arrive?

The food thing is a strange one for our group, without going into too much detail, one of the group is in a position where they cannot eat much at all, and also do not enjoy it. Therefore I am thinking of trying to find as cheap meals as possible so that 1. They dont end up eating side dishes / kids menu and 2. They dont order an expensive meal to have a few bites and leave it.

Thanks for all of your kind help though, much appreciated.

Earl of Sandwich in Planet Hollywood has a sandwich and a beer (draft Budweiser) deal for $10

Food and drink in Vegas was quite pricey but we had some cheaper lunches/dinners at Panda Express (my favourite), In n Out burger at The Linq, food court at Fashion Show Mall and McDonalds. We also wanted to eat at Chilis, Buffalo Wild Wings and Pin Up Pizza but didnt have time, we found that sightseeing took preference over eating and we often missed a meal without realising. We had a kitchen in our hotel room so got breakfast foods and room snacks from Walmart. My mum and sister enjoyed being able to have a bowl of Bran Flakes and fruit for breakfast (strange people )

Here's the thing about the Grand Canyon. Do you WANT to see the Grand Canyon or are you just looking for a day out? If you want to see the Grand Canyon, as in what you have seen on TV, in the movies and all the pictures, then it's the South/North rim. No question about it. You have 3 basic options. Drive, Bus or take a fixed wing plane. Driving makes sense with a few of you, Bus if you've no car and don't mind the length of journey (approx 5.5hrs each way), fixed wing plane approx 1hr flight each way. Bus tour is a probably about $90-$100, plane $300 ish. To be honest, from hotel to hotel the plane probably only saves 2-3 hrs in total, it's really the time on the bus. To give you an example of the difference between the West and North/South Rim here's a link to a recent post I did for someone to compare them.
Friends who weren't interested in the South Rim did a helicopter to the West Rim and then a fly by of the strip. They did really enjoy it (but it was just as expensive as my trip), I just really wanted to see the Grand Canyon.

As others have mentioned food's not cheap in Vegas. Even a Denny's burger is going to run $10-11$ min. But there are many vouchers available for 2 for 1's at buffets, restaurants etc, so maybe one of you could split the cost with the other. Still unlikely to come in under $10 though. The vouchers vary all the time so just google around the time. Likely the hotel will also give you a pack of them on check in.

Can't help with the other 2 questions I'm afraid.

Enjoy the trip

This might be useful in regards eating cheaply in Vegas:

blog.caesars/las-vegas/la...id=sf194439521

Also the Cheesecake Factory has a lunch menu which is cheap. You can eat as cheap or expensive as you like in Vegas, have fun 🎰💵

I bought deals from groupon, travelzoo before going in July and will do the same in April when we go, we saty at the polo towers which has a kitchen living room and dining room, we get a taxi to walmart and stack up on breakfast and snacks, buy bread and some cold meat for sandwiches. Buy juice and wine ect
There is denny, steak & shake, panda express, chillis, pizza carryout place beside us which is okay prices.
We got some great deals for really nice meals on groupon, travelzoo which would have been very expensive to eat in.

Beerhaus at the Park (near NYNY hotel) have a happy hour on beer and hot dogs. We really liked it there and did a return visit. Also if in the Cosmopolitan hotel there is secret pizza. Like the name suggests it's a bit hidden away, but you can get a massive wheel size pizza to share.

Tripp is fine as a results you have a Nathans hotdog place in Luxor, America I. NYNY is nit badly priced and in out burger just down the strip.

I am tight and we had no coupons for shooting I enjoyed it but would, not do it again I think that there are better things to spend your money on.

Although they have an indoor pool its small and not great.

Do not 7nderbany circumstances pay to eat 8n te Tropicana buffet its one of the worst values I have been to. If you want a cheap buffet an6 if te station Casinos are cheap no5 all that good but cheap, the golden nugget is ok and cheap as well bu5 try the peppermill whilst it is nit the cheapest list like yo7 get an experience as well.

Tropicana pool is partially indoors but Ive stayed there both times
In March and its just been reopened each time for the summer , so from what Ive seen they dont leave the indoor bit open . Its also for guests only

If you want to eat cheap in Vegas then youre looking at fast food basically like In N Out burger , subway , stripburger , White Castle , Dennys , or from one of the many food courts that have places like Nathans , Johnny Rockets etc

Ive been to Vegas a lot and you can eat cheap if you want but most cheap places are off strip fine for us with a car .

Most of the 'cheap eats' places already mentioned. Your friends could just get an appetiser from the menus if you all want to eat together sometimes and have something a bit nicer than burgers etc, most appetisers will be less than $10 in nicer restaurants and will be big enough for someone with a smaller appetite.
