Miami and kids

One of our favourite places is Bill Baggs State Park on Key Biscayne. We enjoy the walk round the park and in places watching the different fish swimming in the sea. There is a lovely restaurant on stilts at No Name Harbour. The highlight is being able to go on the guided tour to the top of the the lighthouse where there are fabulous views over the coast line and afterwards you can have a look round the light house keeper's cottage.

We did two nights at the start and one at the end of our holiday in Miami. We did the tour where the boat became a bus the kids loved it, that and an afternoon on the beach were all we needed. When we returned we did a morning on the beach and wondered around and a bit of shopping the kids were fine and quite liked Miami I think there is so much going on everywhere and the beach was fab.

We are staying in Miami at the start of our holiday and have a hotel by the port booked. Not too fussed about going to the beach as our night in Miami is followed by 2 at Cocoa. Have found out that there are some big ships in early, so having a 7 and 4 year old we think they will like a wander around the port, followed by a bit of shopping and then lunch near the or on the beach, before heading up to Cocoa. Not sure there will be much time for anything else. but if anyone has any other ideas which won't take up too much time or see us driving too far or anything where on route to Cocoa that would be great.
