Universal Resort App - Android Sign-In

I have been unable to sign-in to the Universal Resort App for a while now. If you're also suffering from this then read on...

With all the new Tapu-Tapu facilities for Volcano Bay, I decided I needed to get this app issue resolved.

Signing in from the main menu doesn't work, the app simply crashes and restarts.

I reasoned Universal wouldn't want to miss a sale. So I added tickets to my shopping cart and pretended to make a purchase. Sure enough sign-in works when you attempt to conclude a purchase

I created an account yesterday no problem without any attempt to make a purchase so it was ready for the Tapu-Tapu payment system.

Right, but creating an account is not the same as sign-in.

The app has a remember function that stores your details, so once the create has completed you are automatically signed in.

Once I went through the purchase cheat I was able to auto-sign-in as normal.

I also tried clearing cache, data and a complete re-install. Nothing fixed the issue.
