Breakfast in 2015. Horrible. It was an 8am reservation...the place was actually dirty. Food everywhere. Never again.
Really enjoyed mama Melrose that year though... last year we did Brown Derby (which amazingly is only $10 more than h&v for Fantasmic package..bargain for a signature) and brown Derby is where we are going this year too. Amazing meal

We had a great character breakfast there in 2015 and are doing it again later this year. I often wonder if it is the same place when I read all the negative comments.

WE went to the Diney Junior lunch for our 4 y/o last year. To be fair it was ok, food was average buffet stuff, it looked perfectly clean. However it was rushed and we felt they were trying to turn the tables over too quickly because of the character lunches. We will not be booking next year, there are better places.

Thanks for the responses. Seems to be a mixed bag. Wonder has there been more positive experiences more recently in the last 6 months?

I used to go on a American Disney web site to check up on restaurant reviews, and it was nicknamed Hollywood and Vile...lol...I would say 75% gave it terrible reviews..Kinda put me off..

we do H&V on every trip (7 meals there since 2012). it's always been a family hit and a we'll-go-back-next-time kinda place.

We had lunch there in 2014 and 2015 and thought the food was very good. Our expectations were exceeded and I think the bad press it gets is unnecessary. We thought the food was of a similar quality to the likes of Crystal Palace. I really enjoyed some of the salads, salmon and the create your own pasta. The desserts were also really good especially the chocolate covered fruit.
The only issue we had both times was the 20 minutes plus past our ADR time that we had to wait to be seated. The porch outside was just full of people waiting, I guess because they like to stagger the guests being seated. Hopefully they've sorted that out as it's a pain when you have FP, shows etc that you need to rush to afterwards.

We enjoyed it, it wasn't the best we had onsite, but it wasn't the worst either.
However the character interaction was what made it, our youngest was only 4 at the time so he loved joining in the dances with the characters. I thought it was a good selection of food and the choice of desserts were really good as well. If my boys were still young I would do it again but they have outgrown that stage now.

of all our ADRs this is the one that I'm most apprehensive about. The reviews I have read are pretty awful in the main. But... the small one has put it on her list as she is a bit obsessed with Doc McStuffins and wants to be a vet so we will go with an open mind. It will also give us the opportunity to sign up for Jedi training early doors too. As it's just breakfast I figure how bad can it really be? (said with bated breath!)
