Ohana
Hi guys , we are planning on this for our group of 10 , is it hard to get a res ? Should my finger be on the buttons the minute I'm able to book ? . And for staying off site how far in advance can I do this ?

'Ohana is one of the most popular reservation, so yes you need to be there on the minute.
Off site, you can book at 180 days out. |

I booked our holiday at 160 days out and still trying to get a reservation for a party of 5 now - you defo need to do it bang on 180 days to be in with the best chance!

Same, I tried at 180 days out for our first night OR last night and was unsuccessful for both.
I rejigged my 'last night' plan and managed to get a very early evening dinner reservation in the end. Good luck, I hope you get it, and if not TouringPlans and MouseDining have reservation availability alerts that might help

We really struggled to get a reservation for our trip and that's staying on site so had the benefit of 180 days + 10. We got a really obscure time. I've got alerts set up to try and switch it before we go. You should try as soon as you hit your 180 days and check frequently and set up an alert if you can't find what you're after.

I was lucky. I had alerts set and always missed anything that came up.
I just happened to be on MDE looking for another reservation and checked, I managed to get exactly the day I wanted at a good time. I would definitely be hovering over the button as soon as the ressie date opens.

Not at all. I have an alert on Touring Plans for 'Ohana and got an alert just yesterday for a date I wanted in September.
I's worth setting an alert or checking regularly, as people make cancellations as their plans change/they book fast passes etc. Good luck!

I've just booked two evening meals and one character breakfast there for 13 of us in October so you should be fine. Perhaps they release more over time?

I never had a problem booking Ohana for the character breakfast last year. And I left it until just a couple of months beforehand - nowhere near 180 days out. There was a fair amount of availability too.
Of course, it does help if you are flexible on days/times. Looking online for around this time next month (for example) and there are a few times available on each day. So there's still availability even 30 days away during peak summer season.
