I'm a bit unsure at the moment whether I prefer it or not. It's nice to lock in those 3 FP but if plans change, I have largely been unable to rearrange the more popular FP attractions. Also, I've noticed FP lines are sometimes slightly longer (or certainly not that much shorter) than regular lines - this has been particularly noticeable in MK.

Those who have said there is nothing available in curious if it is specific rides as we successfully changed ours whilst away and also on the day when our plans changed and with the exception of 7dmt, a&e, test track, TSMM and Soarin pretty much everything else was available on the day (which is a lot of rides/shows/parades/character meets to choose from)

I think people get very hysterical about this whole FP thing. Its easy to forget that its a perk, not a right, at most other theme park you pay your money to get in, and you queue. Simple as that. Disney are, FOR FREE, simply giving you the chance, with a little prior preparation, to queue for a shorter length of time. If you dont like planning - thats fine. Don't. You can still go on the rides. I feel like people forget that. Yes, if you want to see Anna and Elsa without booking a FP, you will have to wait a long time. Simple as that. But you can still see them. Its your call.

I always just find it quite amusing to be honest. Like someone saying they want to go on a holiday driving round the US, but don't plan a route or take a map, and then complain because they get lost and don't see any of the sights. It's your call, and if you hate prior planning then either be prepared to miss out on some stuff/wait a little longer for things, or go somewhere else!

There are plusses and minuses to the system, like with everything, but personally we found it very useful. They are still working on getting it right, they certainly were when we were there in April, but I fail to see how teething problems with Fastpasses could 'ruin someones holiday'.
Amen to that!

We loved it. It made a huge difference to my personal enjoyment of the holiday. No running around like a headless chicken trying to secure Fastpasses. It was already done.

I understand that not everyone who visits Disney likes to plan. I get that 100%. However, they unfortunately have to accept that a lot of people do and Disney is moving with the times by introducing new technology. They haven't, and I doubt they ever will, make rides FP only. I agree that that wouldn't be fair.

But Disney is giving people the opportunity to choose how they spend their time on their holiday and trying to reduce the amount of stress by reducing queue times for guests on the rides they want to ride.
