Make sure you also include costs when you try and calculate that sort of thing.
Onsite visitors park for free. I'm not sure the car parks average half full over the year. They are built to accommodate peak times and are frequently relatively empty. Nobody is forced to visit WDW - or to park there.

Customers have two choices when it comes to any business. Pay the price for the goods, or go elsewhere.
And with regards to making a profit? Thank goodness they do - more investment, more jobs, more taxes paid.

Nobody is forced to visit WDW... or park there. But we do, and we are ripped off whether we like it or not.

It was mentioned in a post on this thread. Unfortunately, incorrect info. There is parking package that you can buy which allows unlimited parking for 14 days at SW/AQ/BG but you have to have bought tickets to Discovery Cove, which can be the swim or non-swim ticket. If you decide to go to DC, and want the parking package, you will need proof which will be your invoice ref number. We did this last year and saved a fortune as we love SW and went several times.

We went to see a movie in Dublin city yesterday, pre paid tickets so the car was 3 hours or less in the car park - 10 euro or nearly 14 usd. It's not that I would prefer not to pay it, but that's how much parking costs!
I also don't find the food in Disney that expensive. When you convert to euro, the price is pretty much comparable to here |

Even if you go to a disney park every days of your 14 day holiday, you'll be paying what? An extra £15 or something like that?
Its not exactly a huge amount. If you spend all day then your paying something like £1 per hour for parking, again not exactly a rip off, is it? We probably spend about $120 on parking over a two week holiday. Not even $10 per day. Its really not much in the grand scheeme of things. |
