At least for your £10 the parking is efficient. You pay £6 at Alton Towers and it's a nightmare - they parking attendants are nowhere near as organised and you can spend an hour getting in and our of the car parks!

I personally can't understand people being convinced that $17 is actually a bargain They compare it to the cost of their town parking, but this isn't town parking, we are planning on spending £1500 with them (food, drinks and merchandise excluded so add another £1000) Times that by the vast number of visitors and there is no way they need to charge that, while sounding like they are going cap in hand to help fund the car parking and staff, like they don't make millions every day

Back on topic - it's part of the overall holiday expense and it has to be budgeted in. The only way to avoid it is but an Annual Pass, become a DVC member or just stay on site. Disney won't be altering it any time soon. And just to add - the Ultimate tickets designed for the UK market are actually cheaper than Americans pay if they were to have all the add ons.
Agree! When we work out our per day cost from our ultimate tickets it is about £15 per person per day.

It is what it is. They charge for parking. It's a drop in the ocean compared to the overall cost of the holiday and I have to say of you can afford to go there on holiday you can afford the parking charges. One of the reasons we stay onsite at Disney is to avoid them though.

There's only one way to get Disney to change its mind on parking chsrges: mass boycott by not parking there.

Then, they'll find a different way of extracting money from us. So who wants to pay for increased ticket prices or a trip on the monorail or paddlesteamer?

And what's more after shelling out thousands on a holiday the price of parking is a tiny addition.

Complaining about the price of parking is futile, much the same as complaining about having to pay tax.

Just to add that at Tokyo Disney you HAVE to pay to use the monorail as it is seen as a public railway in Japanese law.

The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu doesn't charge for parking. The irony of that statement is not lost on me!

Personally I don't object to paying the parking, I object to the fact that you can't get a discounted parking pass in advance - dependent on how many days you will be visiting the park. I'm sure this would ease the pain for those of us who like to spend a few days spread out at the parks. It's really annoying that sometimes you may only want to spend a couple of hours at the park some of the days but still have to part with $17

I still think that disney could do a cheaper rate say after 7pm it's quite a chunk if you are just going for a couple of hours on the evening to see a parade and have not been to a disney park during the day
