Whilst they not my favourite two parks, we have been twice to experience the new Harry Potter bits. We had a 1 day 2 parks ticket and Express tickets which actually worked out cheaper than an hotel We arrived at 8am and queued at US, they actually opened the Park early and we had ridden Gringrotts twice by 8.30 am. There was no wait at all.We managed to do everything in both parks by 7,pm. I do think you have to have some sort of Express Pass unfortunately.

Totally skipping Uni this trip - can see the attraction of course but gonna be Disney centric this hol.

Next time - perhaps diy, villa and a few nights in a Uni hotel with FOTL passes.

I wouldn't consider going again in july without them.

Universal has some amazing not to be missed rides in my opinion.

I know this is an old thread but I've been since it started and I really enjoyed my time there, we stayed at Cabana Bay and I couldn't fault any of it.

Skull Island opens this year and that in itself is enough to make me want to go back ...

Any of the parks are the same when the queue times are bad, we queued for nearly 3 hours for soarin, it broke down and we nearly gave up but my daughter had never been on it so we carried on. The heat is the same, at peak times it is hard going x

This year is the first time we are going to any Disney parks for the last 14 years. We have been to Florida once or twice a year for the last 18 years and just prefer Universal. It is better to either get there early for opening or late in the afternoon when the queues are not so long at peak times of the year.
