When we were there last week we saw pictures on local news of parts of the track in a scrapyard. It is coming back though bigger and better

I bought my Universal Tickets this morning from Attraction Tickets Direct and they told me that the Hulk would not be running during our stay as their expected date for it to be up and running again is at the very end of August/Early September.

Don't know how they know this but thought I'd share

Universal have said Hulk will reopen in "summer 2016" with no definite date. I guess end of August is at the end of summer and therefore the worse case scenario. This way ATD prepares you for the worst.

You can actually seen how warped and worn the tracks are with 16 years of use.

Screamscape are suggesting the track is being replaced with a different manufacturer of track (not B&M) and possibly not even the same layout! This is an interesting story for a ride that isn't even too old.

Although Themeparkinsider say that Universal have said that it is definitely B+M doing it. I have to say that when we were on Hulk in Easter 2014 it was quite a bone rattler. We are back in August next year and keeping fingers crossed that this and Kong are open

Can't remember where I read it but Universal have confirmed B&M are the manufacturer of the updated ride

Edited to say: Just read your reply Saucer!

I'm a big wimp when it comes to rollercoasters but having lost a significant amount of weight recently and looking for new challenges, my daughter convinced me to try Hulk this year. Can't say I loved it but I rode it 4 times. Need to find a new challenge for next year now as it looks like Hulk won't be open in June. Suspect I'll be dragged on to Dragon's Challenge... Eek!

Dragon challenge is greet . And remember there are two different rides, one fast and furious, one slower but more twisty and with more inversions
