Best standard half board buffet
Hi, have just booked October half term at Santa Fe with the free half board offer. We have three nights so wanted to know which restaurants offer the best buffet options which are included in the standard plan. Have heard Plaza Gardens is good. Also are the counter service breakfast usually at only one park restaurant? Says we find out on arrival.
Have done the WDW free dining but the DLP is new to me. Either way really excited to be going back to DLP |

Hi ! We arrive at Santa Fe on the same day as you.
At the minute we are planning Billy Bobs, Plaza Gardens and possibly pay for Inventions but it maybe Annette’s but I change my mind daily ! Have also booked character breakfast at Plaza Gardens. We have been to DLP but camped previously first time there in a hotel. |

I didn’t rate the buffet at plaza gardens personally. My eldest is a bit fussy so I spent the time working out what he would/wouldn’t eat. We loved the resteraunt at Davy Crocketts but it may be a bit far out for you.

Oh I would pay for the upgrade if I knew sooner it was really disappointing in my opinion.
I stayed in Santa Fe this week, will be doing a mini report soon. So breakfast is En Coulisse in the Walt Disney studios only. With the free plan for breakfast your options are A omelette burger with a crossaint, Apple juice in a can or organge juice and a hot drink of your choice- this was savoury menu. The sweet menu was pan au chocolate or crossaint, a small bread roll with butter and jam alongside the same drink choice. I would say arrive early as the Pasteries are cold which is disappointing and I hated the fact we could only go to one place and not our hotel. I wanted fruit, cereal etc but that's all that's available. They vary in prices but you only get charged for a set meal so you can't add the value to make it up to the price of the other, if that makes sense. It is busy and if you arrive after 9.15 then the queue can get very busy After our second day we asked about upgrading our plan to the buffet, we could only book it for one day as they were full the others but it was €7 and it was worth the value. I could finally have cereal, fruit and unlimited tea and warm pasteries. Plaza gardens was ok we done the buffet. I'm a vegetarian so find they lack in variety but the atmposhere is lovely and decor the worst was the buffet in La Catenia in the evening not worth the wait and was very chaotic.

If you aren’t fussy we really liked Agrabah cafe. Lots of things like couscous. Hummus. Lamb kebab. Nothing to Adventurous but not plain either. I really liked it.
We also liked the Stars one in the studios which is more typical plain food. My daughters liked Billy Bobs which was burgers, ribs, tacos etc |

Thanks all... really useful info! Breakfast wise I may try and bear the counter service as it was free with the half board deal and maybe look at a Character breakfast for one morning.

Incase I made you worry don't! We just had the standard free meal plan so we had to book it and pay extra they just said it was really busy. It really wasn't full at all! The staff were really odd there they made you wait outside for a free table and there were loads free. They also done it for the evening buffet too. It didn't make sense but hey ho my guess was so there wasn't a crowd around the foods
