Just a block or two down the 192 from Formosa Gardens. It is at the bottom of the Old Lake Wilson Road. Does not appear on many maps yet but opened last summer - also has a petrol station. Publix and Target similar distance in the other direction, further along the 192 from Formosa gardens. Would think all three of these stores will be cheaper than the prices Winn Dixie were charging in the past few years  Sad loss in terms of convenience, but you did pay that bit more. The next buildings at Margaritaville will surely mean that this will become a prime site location for any retailer

For an over priced, always empty supermarket a heck of a lot of people did go there and will be frequenting the new place if it ever gets going!
We ended up going to the new CVS for odds and s*ds.

How many supermarkets do visitors who are only there for 2 weeks really need?
 Along that section of US192 there is a Walmart Supercenter, a Super Target, Publix, not to mention CVS, Walgreens and several gas stations with shops.On the US27 just north of Cagan Crossings there are 2 supermarket-sized stores that are boarded up. One is next to the Post Office. Retail in the US is having a hard time. |
