For anyone planning a Japan trip
I discovered that the Japan National Tourism Organisation has an office in London and you can request brochures to be sent (free) on any areas you are interested in. You can also visit if you are in London.
There are loads to download online but I asked a few days ago for area walking maps, brochures for Kyoto, Tokyo, Nara etc. and they all arrived today. seejapan/contact-us#tab-3 Edit: link to see what brochures are available but I just listed all the areas I was interested in and to send me everything they had! Thanks so much - had no idea! Just ordered some, I'm going in just over 1 month eek! Very excited but also feeling a bit overwhelmed.
How quickly did the brochures arrive? Hope I can get them before I go
