Another device question ?
Laptop dying..iPad dying.
I can’t afford an iPad although I prefer them and I’d rather have a laptop mainly because I use it to play power points etc on the TV at school, along with language videos. Equally.. I don’t have a great deal of money at the moment Can Tablets , android, be connected to TVs using hdmi cables. The one at school is very old but has a hdmi port as does my bedroom TV If not a laptop €450\500 euros maximum Tablet rather pay about €260|300 Thanks in advance T Xx Apart from PowerPoint usage for Internet Watching TV ie Sky, BBC etc Amazon Very minor excel type accounts ie about 15 hours a week so nothing heavy Edited at 11:36 PM. |

Some Android tablets / phones can be connected by hdmi. Another option is to plug a Chromecast into the hdmi and then cast the phone to the TV.
You could get an Amazon Fire HD 10 for £130 and a Chromecast for under £30 with a wireless keyboard / touchpad for £20 |

You can connect an iPad to a TV via an HDMI cable and an adapter such as this one:
apple/uk/shop/produc...tal-av-adapter (I think you can get it slightly cheaper on Amazon). There's also a Powerpoint app on the iPad, as well as an Excel app. So you can have Powerpoint slides on your iPad and display them on your school's TV using the hdmi port. A new iPad starts from £330, I think. You may also want to use a wireless mouse and maybe a keyboard too (these will cost extra, but aren't a huge amount).
