We have removed some posts from this thread.

Can we please keep covid/vaccine/political discussions to their dedicated forums as there are many members that have elected to remove themselves from those particular discussions.

Thank you.

Thank you for re-instating this thread. It did get off topic and I take some responsibility for that

There are some really good interesting and informative posts and it would have been a shame for them to have been deleted all together.

Apologies as I was part of this. Sometimes it is hard not to get sucked into some of these things.

We'll be able to fly to the usa by August '21

I think that you will be only authorised if you have had a vaccine. Can't see how it would work for any length of time closely together with the internal air system.

Economic reality will see this happens. All carriers are hemorrhaging money.

Where are you getting the date from?

Or before (I hope). If we're vaccinated or have a negative test there is very little risk to either side, especially with the news on the vaccines being effective with known variants.

I am 30% confident for my booking this Summer, 20% for this Winter, 75% confident for next year, and 100% booking my park and dining reservations anyway 😂

Vaccine passports may not pass legal challenges here, but yes, we shall all see what the year brings. Being hopeful is definitely a good and valid thing.
He is the British Transport Secretary, a member of the government. At the briefing Boris did about the roadmap to unlock on 22nd Feb he asked Grant Shapps to setup a global travel taskforce and report back by the 12th of April on how International travel could start with the earliest date for travel in mid May. He has said on Twitter that he has spoken to his US counterpart twice since then. Great that they are discussing it and hoping for a positive outcome :-)
