Our balance is due next week and we took the decision to pay it. It’s more e pensive to move to next year so will either be delighted that we get to go, or will get a refund if its cancelled and book somewhere else last minute. Got to be in it to win it!

We are moving forward and planning to go until we know that we can’t. All paid up to fly out on 17th July, but we still need to sort a car and universal tickets.

It’s absolute torture, and spoiling my planning experience 🙄 but there nothing to lose now and we’re going to wait and see how this plays out.

We are the same - one minute I think we are definitely going then the next I wonder if it is a stupid idea to even think we may be going this year. However everything we have paid for so far is cancellable with either full refund or voucher, and we don't have to pay Disney until mid-June, so that is our point when we will decide for sure. So we are going to hang on to make a decision. It is hard though as we really really want to go, but not sure it is going to happen.

We are due to fly 1 August. We have to pay the balance with BA on 9 July - so will make a decision a couple of days before then.

I’ve already cancelled my advance rate booking with PI and rebooked on the fully flexible rate, payable on arrival.

I had put a deposit down on the cheaper Disney tickets that were valid until mid Sept, but have recently changed those to the general 2021 ticket (also booked for Xmas in case).

I’m not worrying either way, what will be will be. I’m not going to lose any money if we do cancel.

We feel exactly the same, we are due to fly on 31st July. We also have our 2 teen boys to consider and DD10 that won't be vaccinated. We actually fly on DS 19th birthday and will be there for our 20th anniversary so it was supposed to be a big holiday 😢
As you our villa we can cancel and BA fly drive we can get a voucher. Haven't booked anything else, we have already booked for next Aug but just can't bring ourselves to push cancel yet.
We will leave it as late as possible to decide I think. We are not bothered by not visiting parks, would like to do DC and visit some beaches instead and catch up with parks next year. It's just the kids being unprotected worries me 😮

Is the mask wearing going to be in place in Aug on planes and in parks or nothing concrete been said?

The potential testing faff and costs are a big put off.
As an alternative we've priced up caravans for the same time in cornwall and a few other places and it's shocking the prices plus it's guaranteed to rain

There's so many what if things, in particular the teens with us not being vaccinated and the potential that if one of us tests positive then it would be a nightmare scenario.

But we really want to go and can't press the cancel button

Is anyone else dithering like us?
I could have written this myself.

Our holiday was cancelled last year so other than park tickets which we can transfer to next year we don’t actually have anything booked.

But we all have the leave booked from work and hubby keeps asking should he cancel some of it. We’ve even booked a lodge in Devon for one of the weeks. But there’s still a tiny part of me thinking “what if”.

It’s a horrible feeling and I know really that it’s going to be next year, but that comes with added complications. DD and her boyfriend are both graduating so can’t book anything until we know when their graduation ceremonies will be. Will have to go earlier than planned for last year as DD is training to be a primary teacher and hopefully will have a job in the September.

Sorry went on a bit then! But I definitely sympathise x

They didn't want to come as it'll be boring for them as it's all focused on the IronMan.
The costs would be massive to add them on too.

It would be nice to have them there mind as i, hopefully, cross the finish line

No decision to be made for out Aug holiday until 17th May, when we know where we can travel to and the conditions. Then first of our final valances due mid June, so that's our time line to call it.

If it is off, we will start planing for next year, and try get to somewhere in Europe for a week.

But mindset is preparing for if to be on. How things are now (masks etc) is not necessarily how things will be in Aug...so can't factor that in this early.

as posted on annother thread we cancelled everything at the weekend.. flights had alreaady been cancelled by the airline

in reality only 4 months for a lot of things to change / restrictions being removed... to many unknown variables for the cost... has to be as it was or not worth the expense

imo

roll on 2022... maybe...

we are late August, balance due mid-June, we are waiting until the announcement next month and pushing making the decision until the last minute. My husband is 40 next year and we already have holiday plans for that so we don't have enough holidays to rearrange this trip to next year, so we want to wait it out as long as possible
