Oh I still have that kind of coffee pot in regular use the sound of it percolating on a Sunday morning brings back loads of memories an£ it makes better coffee than any fancy gadget

I’ve got an old pot like those. I use it for melting candle wax for making candles and it cost me 50p. Lives in the garage. I didn’t want to ruin my good pots.

My late Mum had what I would call a Milk Saucepan just like the style Jenny posted.

I remember it well as in the late 50's early 60's she used to wallop my backside with it.

Never did me any harm.

It is indeed, a classic Bialetti Moka pot, I have one in much better condition (for when my bean to cup machine is off being serviced). It should be shiny aluminium though, I suspect somebody put that one in the dishwasher!

I just saw that on your Instagram. I have read somewhere that tomato sauce is good for cleaning up things like that. Not tried it but worth a shot if you have some Heinz.
