Mobile Delivery (garden grocer) and DDP

We are on r- dine at POR with two adults, two children (8 &5). I see that loads of people now recommend getting a delivery too. Do we need to? Was going to pack a box of cereal and pick up some water and milk and juice at the resort shop. I know this will be pricey option but not watching every single dollar. Thoughts?

We take the small variety packs of cereal and get milk from the resort shop. That, along with a dining plan has always been plenty for us. The only time we did order extra food, we ended up with most of it still left at the end of the holiday, so don't bother now. Garden Grocer isn't particularly cheap either, so not worth it just for milk, juice and water IMO

I wrote a quick service food report during our trip last April. If you have the time to look through it, it will give you a good idea of just how much food and drink is included on the plan:

I tend to get a small GG order for water, cereal, washing detergent and softer sheets and some toiletries. The toiletries can save quite some weight from the suitcase. In summer we drink four bottles of water a day each though so that’s my main reason for using them.

A lot of people who use Garden Grocer etc are DVC with full kitchens. We get a full shop in. Saves a fortune, on beer alone!

Hi, we got one last time , just a small one of drinks and couple bottles of wine 🍷... I probably will again just to have a stock of waters, coke etc . Also coconut milk for hubby and a bit of fruit for the wee one 😀 we used resort shop too a bit later on in holiday and it was fine. We will be offsite a bit but no car and not for essentials !

We only did it the year we stayed at OKW with a full kitchen. We always get a car so can pop to Walmart for water etc.

we stayed CBR last year with qsdp and popped to Walmart for milk, razor, deodorant and a bottle of spiced rum! OK we got a few extras but we only did it as we had the car for the duration of our holiday (did universal and KSC). As a car would cost us more than £300 this year and we are staying on Disney my only thoughts are asking fairytale personal shopper if they can deliver a bottle of rum (or a few/lot samplers) and some deodorant (I really like secret powder fresh sticks) as they only charge $15 delivery. We definitely didn't need extra cereal etc as shared many meals and often used a snack credit for breakfast and/or lunch! On our last day we had 21 meal credits and I don't recall snack credits left!
