We used them pre-COVID and they were awful to deal with then! I’d dread to imagine what they’ve been like throughout all of this. Never again!

We have just received our refund through Travel Up. I have found them fine to deal with. They have been sending out regular email updates and they did explain about the admin charge. Our T&Cs on booking said they reserved the right to charge an admin fee on cancellations. Apparently when the first wave of cancellations hit they were waivering the admin fee but after a while they set a rate of £50 per booking. This was all communicated in the regular emails they sent through. When it came time to apply for a refund I was able to complete the online form and check up updates on their website without having to wait on hold on the phone or email and not get a reply. I’m not sure about the legality of them charging the fee but there is still some input required from their staff to process the refund. In future though, it’s likely we would book direct.

Maybe this just felt easier after the difficulties we had getting our money back via Virgin Holidays. 🤪
