DVC Waitlist

Hi, I bought into DVC in May and received 200 points which I banked?
Were heading out to USA in September and reserved Vero Beach, I then decided against and cancelled Vero Beach. However I have now found that I will lose 46 points unless I use them before 1 December 2019 because you can't rebank points.

So I looked at WDW and can only waitlist for my dates. Has anyone waitlisted and been successful?

We only have 4 nights in Orlando.

Any advice gratefully received, as it's still confusing.

Can you book any nights anywhere for your dates ? What are your dates?

Waitlists do come through, but you are late in the day waitlisting.

Your best chances due to size of resorts are Saratoga, and Old Key west.

So if there are any dates at one of those, preferably Saratoga as it’s the biggest, book them. Then waitlist the others.

Then waitlist the entire lot at Old Key West, opting for it to cancel the days you have booked at Saratoga if it comes through.

Then hopefully one will come up.

If all else fails, rather than losing them, maybe book a 1 bed for 2 nights if one is available close to your travel date if the waitlist comes through.

I take it these are already banked or borrowed points.
