Talk to me about the cabins at DCR please!

Now we haven’t been for years but my now 18yo is wondering if we can plan between us and maybe take the grandparents too ... we used to love the DCR when the kids were little but now there’s me, a 14yo girl, 18yo boy and possibly two ageing parents of mine lol! They are pretty good value, but Dad isn’t as mobile as he was; he coped in Animal Kingdom last Christmas but not able to manage much more, and that was with a skip the line thing.
What I am wondering is what Is the difference between the three ranks of 2 bed cabins at DCR now? It used to be different, one bedroom or two, but now they seem to have three types of three!
If it’s space, great, if just proximity to the clubhouse, not so bothered.
Also, are there any preferable options on site rather than DCR? It’s just that DCR comes out so much cheaper, then the new Villages place which I don’t know is next.

Pioneer are closer to the village than Trapper. I think the premium plus ones are the closest and include a few extras like bathrobes and a fancy coffee machine, but I've never stayed in one of those!

Ah ok, thanks, So no difference in size then?
It used to be that you could pick a one bedroom or two and that looks to have changed now.

I've booked a Trapper twice, and once was "upgraded" to a Pioneer and they were both the same, a double bed in one room and another room crammed full of single beds!

We've been in a Pioneer and Premium Plus. Prepared the premium one as it came with a few extras, was right by the swimming pool etc. We would choose to upgrade again as we liked the coffee machine, robes and slippers especially in March when it snowed! Both types were identical in layout though and had everything we needed. The heating was superb in both too in the winter. We've only stayed in the hotels in the summer.
