Locked out of iphone

DD12 has somehow forgot her passcode on her phone and has now disabled it. We have followed a tutorial but it takes us to the point via her iTunes account where a verification code is sent out. Problem is the code goes to her phone which we cannot access!
Any ideas?

Do you have a mobile phone shop nearby? I don�t mean like a Vodafone or 3 one but a local �we fix your screen for �30� place? I�m sure they�d probably be able to help.

We�ve just tried the same thing, impossible to get it sorted
As you cannot access the phone, you cover all the security then they say they will send a code to resolve in 4 days nothing ever received

We do but there�s no option to get the code sent to that, just the phone 🤦

You can use the iPad to create a new recovery key

Then login to your Apple ID on a pc with the recovery key and remove the iPhone from the Account.
