Festival of lights longleat

Thinking of booking tickets as a surprise for DHs Birthday.
Has anyone been ? Is it worth it and do you have access to the rest of the park too ? Xr

We went in 2017 and it was really good.

I’m not entirely sure on the ticket situation (my husband surprised me) but we did have access to the whole park and the safari, whether that was because he booked a specific ticket or not, I’m not sure, sorry.

We went last year and it was excellent. We went on a weekday and arrived late morning and stayed until around 6pm. We did everything Longleat had to offer (except the monkeys!) and also saw some of the nocturnal animals moving around once it got dark. I overheard someone saying there was only space to shuffle round the lights when they went at a weekend the previous year.

I agree, it’s well worth a visit - spectacular sight.

We went last year on a Saturday, we spent all day from park opening until the evening. It was busy but plenty of space and we weren’t shuffling around people. We went on the first weekend of December. The only extra we paid for was to see Father Christmas on the Santa train. We had a super time and loved the lanterns, so clever and beautiful.

It is really great, you will great some wonderful photos. The only negative from our visit was that the coffee shops were rammed - think an hours wait. Plenty toilets though. So I would take an emergency flask if I did it again. And I would leave my elderly caffeine addicted mother at home.

Haha,I have a caffeine addicted DH so a flask is definitely going to be in order then. 😀
