Three Network - thoughts?

I'm about to switch my phone contract to sim only and 3 seem to have some good options. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how they are - speeds etc?

Also appealed as I would like to be able to have data for our next trip (I swore in May I wouldn't rely on wifi only again!) Any experience of how well the coverage works out there?

depending where you live... order a free pay and go sim card and stick it in a phone to check your signal coverage -

I have a three sim for our trip, but zero phone signal where i live with 3.

Been with 3 for several years now, never had any issues. Especially like the roaming data.

I'm in Glasgow, very urban and live on a dual carriageway near a major intersection (sounds a peaceful idyllic place to stay doesn't it? 🤣

Anyway, I'm on 3 and my signal indoors is rubbish, almost have to sit on a window ledge to have a conversation and sometimes don't get texts that friends have sent (leads to misunderstandings, my friends think I am ignoring them)
I am thinking of changing to Vodafone, however they have just changed all their tarrifs for new subscribers and I had my eye on one that had good roaming included to places I go -Canada, USA and Cayman Islands - and that has now gone up in price by quite a lot so back to the drawing board.

Thanks everyone. I'm in central London so hopefully signal will be ok (I wonder if they have a cooling off period in case it doesn't work - i'll check that)

I'm with Vodafone at the moment but totally fed up with them!

I'll do some investigating and find out what else is out there too

EE would be the best network to have in London in my opinion.

do you know anyone on the 3 network. getthem to do a speedtest in the place you want to phone to work. I am currently in west London and getting 79mbps down and 46mbps upload on 4g on the 3 network..
I can only get 50mmps on my broadband at home.

Been with 3 for years and have no problems - the big benefit is their Go Roam for free use abroad.

We can't actually get any signal from any supplier at home. But you can just use WIFI calling instead. So anyone with 3 that says they get a poor signal if you switch on wifi calling on your phone it means all texts, calls etc go via the wifi - never have a problem with the signal at home this way.

I've had three.for years, they do some really good deals but lately the signal in my area is getting worse, I plan to leave them soon just going to wait until after my next trip.

My wifes on EE and gets much better signal then me, also EE are rolling out 5g first if you want a quick network and have a compatible device.
