Hi,

On reading your post, it looks like you are trying to use the HDMI output ont he PC to view on the TV? It maybe that the graphics card doesn't default to the HDMI output being enabled. What other outputs does the Graphics card have?

Have everything out of case running, still no display but there is a red error light of some sort on the status leds for each component e.g. cpu Light off, VGA light off and Dram light off. Then there is a red light on boot. Any ideas?

It’s an old graphics card gtx 560 ti. Got this just to do the job at the moment to see if all works. But the display ports on the graphics card include a mini hdmi, and 2 dvi ports.

UPDATE! I’ve sorted the red led boot light. Solution the sata cable wasn’t in the motherboard, the light is off now, but still no display. Is it the ports on the graphics card?

i'd start with the motherboard manual (and then the video card manual), see what error codes mean what, and if theres any jumpers or switches or anything to set the default output

after that, i'd be swapping out the video card for another one to try and rule it out

the key to troubleshooting a dead PC is that its a process of elimination! strip to bare minimum, and when that works, start adding stuff bit by bit until you find the faulty component.

OP, does your mobo have onboard graphics?

If you have no case speaker, you'll have to remove/replace parts to eliminate what could be causing the issue.

It could be anything at this point.. the board could be dead (worst case scenario) but this is why I'm asking if you have onboard graphics..

If the fans are on, are they on full speed? If so this could lean towards the board being dead.

What I think it is is that the graphics card is an old one, so it may not be compatible with hdmi as it only has mini hdmi and dvi ports. So I’m gonna order a mini hdmi to hdmi cable to see if it will work. But if that doesn’t work I don’t know what’s wrong with it because all cables are working, motherboard is acknowledging all components such as the cpu, Gpu and dram. All fans are spinning as well as all the onboard rgb lights on the motherboard which shows it has power. If anybody has any other ideas or solutions which may help, it will be greatly appreciated!

Even if the fans are spinning/lights on etc.. this doesn't mean it isn't broken, I hope it isn't the board as that's just a nightmare.

Does the board have onboard graphics?
