AKL Standard, Savannah or Beach Club

We are booked for AKL in a standard room and was hoping to fax a room recommendation for a partial view. I know this isnt a guarantee either, but worked last time and we loved the hotel and view.

Problem now is that Disney have just released a new offer and we could upgrade to Savannah for £42 a night extra. Is it worth it, or should we risk a partial view?

To throw extra confusion, we love AKL, but have never stayed in any boardwalk resort. We could now move to the Beach Club for only £14 extra a night.

Before this offer, both Savannah and BC were out of our set budget.

Arrhhh, we had everything planned and now something else gets thrown in to tempt us.

So do we:
a) stick
b) move resort for £14 a night extra
c) upgrade to savannah for £42 a night extra.

We have done akl before but we thought we would try something new this time and have gone for bc. We have previously stayed in ss and loved being able to walk to Disney springs so the fact you can walk to two parks from bc was the main pull to this hotel for us this time

I love AKL, and the standard room also gave us a savannah view but for £14 I would move to BC for its close proximity to DHS and Epcot.

I wouldn't pay £42 for a savannah view. I would be happy with either AKL or BC but I like to try different places so if it were new to me then I would definitely pay £14 to switch resort.

Spent an hour on the phone and the cast member was really good and helpful. He had to cancel our old booking and create a new booking and then ring some other department to ensure none of our fastpasses were lost. Within 20 minutes the BC was linked to our MDE.
Location is well worth the £14 a night extra. Very happy.

I’d pay £14 extra to try Beach Club if you haven’t been there but not any more for a savannah view room. I prefer AK as a resort to Beach Club but then the location of Beach Club cannot be beaten. I’d give that a try as you haven’t stayed there before.

DH has always wanted to stay at AKL so we have that booked this year, but had he not then I would be changing to BC now - go for it.

Stayed at both and loved both of them. My oh would definitely prefer BC. I would be happy with either.
Though our philosophy is to try different hotels for the new experience. Holiday seems more exciting that way.

I think switch to BC! That’s what I would do!
