He had four rounds of ATRA chemo over five months and made a full recovery.
He's now 34, we've been married a decade, and have a three year old son. People can and do make complete, full recoveries, and you'd never know, as an outsider, that it had ever happened to him.
Wish you all the luck in the world with the road ahead.x
Fantastic, thank you so much. What an inspiration!

Brilliant that’s great to hear!

I had AML when I was 13, treated with chemotherapy, tough but it worked & I didn’t relapse. 10 years later The Royal Marsden discharged me. I’m now 54!
I wish you & your family health & happiness for the future x x x
Wow so young you must have really gone through it! Thank you what a story!

I have a positive story for you. My dad was diagnosed with ALL, underwent intensive chemo x2 and then a stem cell transplant. He was very unwell for a while but he battled through and this year we are all going back to Florida for the first time since 2010.

Give yourself time to be upset, and then fight like hell. ❤️
Just what I needed to hear thank you, I am trying not to google too much. I don’t want the doom and gloom stories.

Thank you to everyone for your good wishes. I will keep you updated.

Oh sweetheart you must be absolutely reeling from this devastating news.
It’s going to be a total roller coaster and is so scary not only for your DH, but all the family. Tempers fray, tears are sobbed, but if I can offer any advice at all it’s this - keep talking. When I was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, It was all consuming. It took a while to sink in that my DH was suffering as much as me. We cried, we laughed, we sat and just held hands for hours on end. He was my rock - and still is.
It natural that roles are reversed, in that your DH won’t feel the ‘Protector’ and this in itself will be upsetting.
But talk. Take time to be kind to yourselves. Accept help when offered. Take deep breaths.
Keep talking to us too. We will always be here with a virtual hug or hand hold.
I’m in remission but my surveillance will be for my lifetime. But that’s ok.
I’m sending you all my love and positivity x x x
