I just stayed, it’s great.

Get a room on the Cabana Bay or Sapphire Falls side, not the multi story car park side. That side also has good views but has annoyingly loud massive industrial air con units on top of that multi story which is about 5 floors high, kept us awake on floor 9, and we got moved the next day.

The Volcano Bay entrance is literally 20 steps out of the back of the pool. If you go before 8 pool isn’t open so come out of front of hotel and turn left, and same path is there, just another 2 mins walk.

You can walk to and from the parks it is about 20 mins but a nice walk- see my video I posted on another post on here. The garden walk has its own security checkpoint at Margaritaville.

If you don’t want to walk, walk over to the boats at Sapphire Bay and get on them. You bypass the main security and are dropped off at City Walk, a big time saver. We never took a bus anywhere.

Get the drink cups as soon as you get there, $19 a time for length of stay and when you buy it tell them you are leaving a day later so it still works on your last day. In fact we went to Hard Rock over a week later and ours still worked there (my son figured that one out!).

The hotel is very good, the food is also good, bit pricey, but good. Movies in pool, nighttime in the pool there is nice atmosphere.

I echo all of YT's tips! The refillable mug is a must-do. The food at the hotel is pretty good and the rooftop bar is great if a little pricey!

It's a great hotel, and I recommend the garden walk into the parks and then get the boat back to Saphire Falls as you'll have walked enough through the day!

Just another tip regarding VB - go dressed ready to swim from the hotel. VB charge you (a lot) for lockers so go dressed ready to swim and don't bother taking anything valuable with you. Then just leave your towels (take them from the VB pool) and other stuff on a sun lounger!

Make sure you visit Bar 17. It had a great atmosphere and great cocktails! There was a family playing Uno up there, couples, as well as a group of people from a conference, so a range of clientele. The food was also great, we had some of the bao buns - yum. We watched Disney fireworks from there, too. A lovely little hide away.
