Recovering hotmail account

DS2 is trying to get back into an account, via Hotmail but OMG he keeps failing all the questions about past usage etc. Really frustrating, any dibber got advice on sorting this problem out?

I tried this with a gmail account a few months ago. I gave up in the end. Tried so many times and contacted them through their web page. Nothing.

I have decided to redo all my email to use a domain registered to me and forward to a gmail (or other) account. When this happens again, then just re-forward to another account.
Learnt my lesson that once you have a problem with these types of accounts - your email address seems to be gone for ever.

I have just retrieved my DS account. They asked for last emails sent and subjects and a security question/answer. The first and second time we tried it failed, the third time worked with all the same information we had used on the other two attempts
