Yes, when it first went on I was worried it was more battleship grey, but now it's dry it's definitely green.

You don't need to get the paint off prior to painting with these paints!
Here's some photos of an old black painted summerhouse we had which we renovated rather than pull it down, painted with Cuprinol Country Cream, we just slapped it on top and was fine!
