Excited about Disney

Absolutely fuming
So just got off the phone with Disney regarding my my booking.
We have been downgraded from club to standard room. No email, phone call, pigeon messenger nothing. And guess what the price doesn’t reduce because we will still be in the club building. Poly is full so offered standard room in grand Floridian for £1000 less. I ask to speak to the manager and after calmly venting my frustration a garden view room becomes available for a £1500 less. That’s £4200 for 1 room for 1 week and no extras. I don’t so. The hard thing to understand is that they did expect me to pay full club level price for no club level service and weren’t embarrassed to say so. Edited at 02:54 PM. |

No wonder you are disappointed, I would be too.
I thought they had only recently announced Poly Concierge was not yet reopening (I may have that wrong) so maybe they were in the process of contacting people in date order or something. I’ve replied on your other thread about Beach Club, and DrJ has replied with other DVC availability. I don’t have any spare points to rent but happy to help look up availability for DVC if you need it

Wow, I know its offsite and away from the magic but villa owners would be especially shocked at those prices - I know I am , and we would provide a much better service by the sounds of it

Thank you, not recent she said she could see the booking was changed last year when they closed the resort.

I don’t know what shocked me more the lack of communication or the fact they still expected the same price for the room

You'd pay a lot less if you booked via dvc rental. We paid approx £400 per night (DVC) in Grand Floridian and absolutely loved it. Not sure what the club benefits give you though

I’ve cancelled the booking, rebooked through Expedia and got yacht club water view for £3500, With free cancellation so on the lookout now for dvc points for beach club villas or board walk once the restrictions lift and if we don’t get those at least I’m going and have save abit on what I originally was going to pay.
