I’ve just finished The three of us by Ruth Jones. I really enjoyed it.

The Runaway Wife by Dee MacDonald. It's about a woman in her late 50's who just takes off in her car one day to the shock of her family. Very funny and quite touching in places.

Have your read any of Paige Toon's books. They are really easy reading but draw you into the storyline. I love to read them on holiday.

Any Discworld book, but i’d probably start with the 1st.
Not the first one you can find even though you would have a good argument to say that would be your first.
