Hang on, you go to Jamaica in 1 day? Is that countdown right? If so, wow!

You’ll be absolutely fine! Just drink more wine 😂

It looks fantastic so far. I dream of a utility room so that I can have an old fashioned ceiling airer to dry washing, that I don’t like to tumble dry.

Ah ha! That is a fabulous idea.
I haven’t had a garden before so I have been using the line where possible now, but would love to use the dryer less. Off to google now

Everything seems to be co-ordinating really well from your photos but I’m sure it’s not really as easy to be actually living it…I think I would have acquired a major drink problem to save attempting to cook!…I can imagine the upheaval but it’s going to be fabulous when you are finished, I can’t wait to see it all😊

Hello! Of course it has been a bit stressful, but to be honest I have coped better than I expected so far.
Upstairs and the lounge was dated and grubby, but habitable. We scrubbed the lounge and basically hang out in there, and the spare bedroom was worn, but serviceable so we blitzed it and slept in there for ages, then moved across for the plasterer.

The current kitchen was narrow and old, but it had an oven, sink, and several plugs so we set up in there, it’s tiny especially as we ripped part out to create a downstairs toilet, but the fridge/freezer is there and I was able to cook in there.
It has been a lot of dirt and dust, and I do drink too much at the minute, partly as I pretend I’m camping 😂 but I do think it will be worth it when it’s done.
I’m an accountant, and I think it’s a good buy, even if I get greyer in the process x

Today the front door has been swapped for one that they took off an old job. It’s a good door but white which I’m not keen on so they are going to paint it

They hung a plant on our old wooden door for a laugh

The new door before paint

Needs finishing of course

The tiling is now finished, just needs grouting, and the windowsill has been capped. I now have a lovely window sill for my plants

I also got bought some lovely flowers from Lidl which have really perked me up
