They usually change the package size to fit within the $1 price tag rather than discount the normal size. For example, you can get a 3oz bag of M&Ms at Dollar Tree but the 10oz bag from Walmart is just over $3. Little more expensive at Target, but still overall the same price per weight.

You should have more variety at Walmart/Target than Dollar Tree as well.
Ahh I see. Thanks. Makes sense. Il let her grab some treats for her friend in their

Dd is into squishy makeovers and painting Japanese stuff on glass.
She is sketching a lot too so atleast pencils and paper aren’t too expensive!
Only issue is that at 10 her attention span is quite short so she changes hobbies often 😅

I bought a lot of Kawaii bits from Ali express.

Sounds exactly like her! For her 10th birthday I bought her lots of kawaii stuff and her brother bought her a bubble tea set, she is obsessed with bubble tea..
Does your daughter also like studio Ghibli?
Hoping to go to Japan in 2023 (covid permitting!) I think she’ll possibly explode if we make it over there

The only thing we find with Dollar Trees, is they vary wildly with what stock each one has. Sometimes it’s quite frustrating when you’ve watched a YouTube video, and then you can’t find it in any of the stores.

I am freakishly wary of food expiration so don't buy food products from the Dollar Tree, etc. If you do buy edibles, check expiration dates to make sure they are relatively fresh.

With a 10 year old, I would go to Walmart and Target first-much better quality for a little more money. Most Walmarts have decent sized craft areas if you watch for sales Michael's etc can have good deals (and lots of coupons) personally, I avoid Hobby Lobby. they are owned by fundamentalist Christian's who try to impose their beliefs on others (they sued over the affordable care act requiring that birth control be paid by insurance, not an issue for you guys but a big issue for many Americans.).
