Behind the steam trains tour

Hi, I am thinking about booking this as a surprise for my train loving Dad for when we go in October. Does anyone have any reviews? It starts at 7.30 so looking to do early on in the holiday when we are up early! Any advice or tips appreciated. Thanks

Hi have you managed to book this tour? We tried booking this for the beginning of November but they said no tours are scheduled at the moment and to try again closer to the time

Did this a few years ago and loved it. I know the railroad is clised for a lengthy refurb, its not open at all when I go 27th sept, so dont think you'll be able to book it though.

No, I phoned twice and they said there was no availability on any of the days in October we will be there, then they said the schedule wasn’t released for November. Not sure if that means it’s not going ahead at all or whether they will release further dates later on. Disappointed as I wanted to buy it for my Dad for his birthday next week so can’t really wait much longer.

Ah I know I asked them on the phone if that was why there were no spaces, because the tour wasn’t actually running, but they didn’t seem to know. Neither of the cast members I spoke to were particularly helpful.

I think at one point the trains weren't running due to the building works with the new Tron ride
It may be that they can't do the tour if the trains aren't running
Not sure if they are running at the moment
