Vancouver

We’re booking a trip to Canada to visit my niece and husband who are in Calgary. The plan is to fly into Vancouver, take the Rocky Mountaineer to Calgary and fly home from there. We have accommodation sorted for Calgary but have no idea about Vancouver.
Would be looking to stay in Vancouver for 3 or 4 nights using public transport.
Would really love ideas on great hotels, best location etc
Thanks

Rosedale on Robson is our go to hotel when visiting our DS. Close to everything and an easy train from the airport and a short walk

DD and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency on Burrard. It's near to a train station and walking distance to all the sights.

We had booked the Fairmont Waterfront for 2020, 2021 and now 2022 fingers crossed lol We live inland and rarely see the sea so a waterfront location and seeing the sea and the seaplanes from the room was a big attraction for us. The train from the airport also stops right by the hotel. There's 2 other hotels in the area, the Pan Pacific and the Fairmont Pacific Rim (pricier than the Fairmont Waterfront)

Thanks for the replies. At the moment the travel agent is looking at the Sutton Place hotel as it is part of the Rocky Mountaineer booking. But will definitely look at those you’ve mentioned.

In 2015 we flew into Calgary and joined Rocky Mountaineer tour to Vancouver where stayed for a few nights before joining DCL Alaska cruise. We stayed at the Pan Pacific which was fab and had the joy of seeing the Disney Wonder dock right under our hotel room. Wonderful views over the bay. Best trip ever which we rounded off by flying down to John Wayne for our Disneyland fix.

We're supposed to be doing this 23 August. Rearranged from last September. Can't see it but still living in hope.
