Florida:Take Two-Day 4, Magic Kingdom

Today was an important day for us, as we love Magic Kingdom. Not because of the rides, shows or anything in particular, although they are brilliant, but because when you walk down Main Street USA and see the castle, just sitting there in all its glory in the Floridian sun, you know that you are in Disney and it's the best feeling in the world.
However, the day didn't get off to a good start, as I state in my diary: We missed the bus! And then had to wait 40 minutes for another one. We didn't let this put us off, however, and arrived after rope drop but still managed to get on Space Mountain without too long a queue. We then legged it over to Frontierland for Splash and Big Thunder Mountains. I was wearing my favourite turquoise Hollister skirt, and predictably got soaked. Never sit in the front row, is the lesson to be learnt here.
We grabbed a pretzel. (I love American pretzels. They're so yummy, I had one every Disney day except water park days, when I had a cookie. How healthy are we?) We queued up for Space Mountain and it broke down before we got on the ride.
However, all was not lost as we were given a Fastpass for use on any ride. Then we did Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, which is one of my favourite attractions, and Stitch's Great Escape. We had lunch and used our Fastpass on Haunted Mansion. Over the day, we had accumulated a variety of various fastpasses, and used them all. For some reason I didn't write this down, most likely because I was exhausted and wrote barely anything. I can remember it all though so it's OK. Anyway, back to the Haunted Mansion. We went through the exit and down a corridor, which by the way is totally creepy. If you haven't been down there then it is basically a long corridor, with an old-looking, cobwebby chandelier, a mantelpiece and candles. Scary.
The ride was fab of course. Then we did the usual Magic Kingdom stuff, like Small World and Peter Pan (with Fastpass, the queue was 60 minutes), but not Winnie the Pooh, as the queue was 50 minutes long. I'm sorry, but I'm not queueing that long to sit on a ride designed for kids. Harry Potter, yes. Winnie, no.

Sounds like you got everything done except poor old Pooh, but missed rope-drop, tut-tut, the shame of it

Loving the reports Sophie, just wish I could have got my DD to do the same...
