Sounds like a great trip! We did something similar a few years ago & visited Calico en route to Palm Springs. My DH loves cowboys & wanted to see the movie sets.
There was a show in the afternoon which was fun, especially for kids but without the show & in the August heat (it was oppressive in May) I don't think it's worth it unless you're really keen. Have a look at Ontario Mills Mall which is enroute to LV - off the I15 (adds bout 30 mins extra driving & lots of brownie points from the wife & kids ). It's a small Mall with the usual mall chain shops BUT it has one of the very few genuine A & F outlets. I think there are only around 15 outlets in the USA. I think we spent around $250 but had 2 overflowing shopping trolleys (Asda size) & 2 very happy daughters when we got home Happy Holidays |

been thinking calico might be a bit too hot.
But that mall looks interesting . Doing a google map suggests it's only just off the i15 so not sure why it would add more than a few minutes ? ( other than the hours spent with me asking " is it not time for us to go yet ? ") |

30 mins was a guess for total extra time from hotel door to mall door & back to I15. I think they had a Hollister OUTLET there as well, Lego & Disney stores. If you get bored, there's always Cinnabon & Ghiradelli Edited at 07:04 AM. Reason: to make better sense! |

Sounds absolutely amazing. Would love to do something like that when my kids are a bit older. Will see how they get on with 14 days in florida first tho!
Have a ball, look forward to reading more. Rachel 😀 |
