Apparently its going to be a PCR 24 hours before travel and potentially a test on landing

Should I change my LFT ones for PCR’s yet or wait for official update? This is so confusing when flying so close to the changes.

Where did you see the test on landing being mentioned?

Amid concerns about the omicron variant of Covid-19, the CDC plans to tighten its testing requirement for arriving international travelers.

The CDC will require fully vaccinated travelers to produce a negative result from a Covid-19 viral test taken within 24 hours before departure to the U.S.

President Joe Biden on Dec. 2 is expected to provide information on the implementation date.

The U.S. currently requires international arrivals to conduct a viral test within three days of departure.

The CDC will continue to recommend that all travelers take a Covid-19 viral test three to five days after arrival.

I can live with that as long as Antigen is accepted.

Probably won't bother with the 3-5 testing over there as it's impossible for them to check. Will just take NHS LFT with us.

I am happy to pay for a same day PCR if that is what is needed and can take lat flows with us to test after 3 days but any sort of quarantine would be game over for us.

Where has it been said we'll need a PCR test before flying? I thought the only change was it had to be an LFT but the day before travel not 3 days as now, what have I missed?

It's all just speculation at this point.

Nowhere has it said it’s needs to be a PCR yet. More speculation, rumours and fairy tales.

Speculation and rumours have driven this entire pandemic, and driven me mad!
